Snowmobile Trails Report

Oswego County Department of Community Development, Tourism and Planning

According to the Winona Forest Recreation Association:
The extended forecast is calling for temperatures in the 40s and no significant snowfall at this point. It does not look good for continuing our season until the end of the month if this weather pattern holds but conditions are good at the moment.
According to Hugh Quinn of the Osceola Tug Hill Ski Club:
Temperatures this week are expected to be in the 40s with lots of sunshine. The trails currently have a 16-20 inch base with a loose granular surface.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
According to the Square Valley Snowmobile Club:
The warmer weather and high sun are taking their toll on the trails. Trails over the weekend were in somewhat poor shape with spring conditions. With temperatures in the 40s most of the week, trail closures are expected.
According to the Mexico Trail Riders Snowmobile Club:
It looks like it's over for another year. The temperature and precipitation just isn't what we're looking for. It's not worth running from snow patch to snow patch; we've had enough damage this year already. Please respect the landowner and remember these are snowmobile trails....not trails for 4-wheelers or dirt bikes.
