In Winter when the snow starts falling, you don’t need to stay inside with a warm fire and cup of cocoa. Put on your snowshoes or skis and embark on a long cross-country journey through the snow-covered wilderness! Rev up your snowmobile and whip around the many trails intertwined throughout the county. For a real adrenaline rush, try ice-climbing the Salmon River Falls. Some people avoid the snow, but in Oswego County, we live for it!

In Summer watch hawks glide over the horizon, sail your boat beneath the orange glow of the sunset, kayak the rippling river waters and hike to the sound of leaves crunching beneath your feet. Lakes, rivers, ponds, forests, trails and open hills are just some of what nature has offered here. With such dynamic geography, Oswego County is an outdoor enthusiast’s dream!
